The grande dame of Cuban music Omara Portuondo and bassist Victor Bailey, have been incorporated into the programming of the Festival de Jazz de San Javier, after the refurbishment completed due to cancellation of the European tour due to illness of Randy Crawford and Joe Sample, whose concert was scheduled on Saturday 18 July.
In place of Randy Crawford and Joe Sample, Victor Bailey Group will act on July 18 in a double concert will occupy the first part as planned, Sole Giménez.
Omara Portuondo has been incorporated into the schedule by adding one more concert to serve as a closure of the Festival on Sunday 26 July.
The two concerts are included in the fertilizer so that those that have already purchased from the office must Festival entry to the concert of Omara Portuondo and change on 18 July, at no charge.
The ticket price is 12 euros for day 18 with Sole Giménez and Victor Bailey, and for the Omara Portuondo on 26 July.
Victor Bailey is one of the best bassists of contemporary jazz fusion, and one of the leading exponents in the U.S. electric bass along with Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller Jaco Pastorius or remembered.
In his concert will be accompanied by a spectacular drummer Poogie Bell, who returns to San Xavier where he acted as members of the Marcus Miller Band, plus David Gilmore on guitar, and Peter Horvath on piano and keyboards.
Omara Portuondo is one of the legendary figures in Latin American music with over 60 year professional career since he made known in Cuba, his native country, with "Las D'Aida."
The "bride" feeling "or" the Edith Piaf of Cuba ", as it has been known that diva of Cuban music, will perform at the Festival de Jazz de San Javier accompanied by a quintet which includes some of the best musicians Cuban and the pianist Harold López Unza and drummer Rodney Barreto, who joined on drums Coayo Andrés Felipe Cabrera on bass, and Swami Jr. on guitar.
The two concerts will take place at the Festival in the auditorium of the park Almansa in San Javier, to schedule programming in general.
