The local group "Knot" has won the first prize in the Rock Band "San Javier Rock", organized by the Department of Youth under the Legends of Rock Festival held last weekend in the town.
The contest that came four finalist bands concert concluded with all of them in the shower Legends Festival, attended by 4,000 people.
The councilman of Youth, José Luis Espinosa was responsible for delivering the prize of recording a disc in Q factor studies with an edition of 1,000 copies, and 900 euros in cash.
Second-placed "Ted Striker" was $ 500, and the rest "Malaverguenza" and "Sense", 200 euros.
Espinosa said the quality of local bands and "the decision of the Department to continue supporting and promoting local groups with either a contest or other proceedings."
"Knot" is a hard rock band consisting of San Javier Andres Lopez on drums, Andrew Escaravajal on bass and vocals, Rodrigo Ruiz on guitar and vocals, Jesus Izco singer and guitar and backing vocals Deborah Sanchez.
Formed in late 2007 under the influence of bands like Judas Priest, Ozzy, Red Baron, and The Softies, and then began making versions began to write their own songs that increasingly have a greater role in their repertoire and now may include their first album, the recording will be possible in this first edition of Rock Band Contest organized by the Department of Youth.
