Thirteen immigrants aboard a small boat have been rescued by coastguard after it was alerted, around 11 hours, the presence of the small boat by a passenger ship flying the flag of Bahamas who spotted it about 20 miles (37 kilometers) from Estacio (La Manga del Mar Menor).
Salvage traveled to the area a boat that took charge of the immigrants who were transferred to the port of Cartagena, where they were recognized by Red Cross doctors, confirming that all were in good condition.
The immigrants, all Algerians, men and elderly, were made available to the National Police, which instructs the relevant records back to their country of origin.
