Our Lady of Loreto Avenue, Santiago de la Ribera released new lighting by the end of the year when completion of works that have already begun to replace the existing street lamps with new ones as well as the electrical conduit that runs along the avenue.
The existing lights will be replaced by a total of 39 columns of 10 meters placed in the middle, with two arms of light illuminate both sides of the road.
The projects funded through the Plan E with an investment of 162,400 euros as part of a project that includes strengthening the central lighting in Sandoval Avenue, also in Santiago de la Ribera, which placed 19 columns of 11 meters as arc in both sidewalks, which will complement the current lighting located in the median.
Councilman Works and Services, Pedro Muñoz explained that these works are a response to a long-standing demand of the residents on improving the lighting in these two tracks especially busy, with a renovated facility, and modern lighting that will help improve visibility for both vehicles and pedestrians.
