The campaign comes to security grows in all schools in the municipality (23/10/2009)

Students in grades 5 and Primary 6 of the seven schools in the municipality of San Javier participate in the campaign, "Grow in Security" this morning are presented in the municipality of San Javier, the mayor, Pepa Garcia and the director of the Institute of Security Occupational Health and Murcia, Tomás Pérez Fuentes.

The campaign goal is to bring schools the dissemination of safe and healthy habits and raise awareness among young on the need for prevention to ensure safer work environments, as explained by Tomás Pérez Fuentes.

The topics to be discussed are related to the risks they may face the school, such as falls, blows, burns, charges and the bag, and sitting position, electrical hazards, cuts, wounds or contact with toxic products among others.

The activities, free and voluntary, will be held during school hours and will be taught by staff from the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, which will offer an illustrated talk, followed by a drawing on the lessons learned to be a regional stage, and The campaign aims to reach all municipalities in the region.

The campaign also aims to reach teachers who will receive a talk on the content of the activity to celebrate with the students so they can provide continuity, as well as parents, with children as wire transmitter, with the ultimate goal of deepening awareness general culture of prevention of occupational hazards.

The mayor of San Javier, Pepa García stressed the importance of initiatives like this, "given the importance of influencing the health awareness and job safety, not only in professional environments but also in other areas" and to do so precisely from school "where everything has to start it will make social change."
