The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana today opened the Center for Child Care (ISC) 'General Air Academy-San Javier', which is the third launched in the region result of an agreement between Autonomous Region and the Ministry of Defence.
This agreement has also enabled the opening of two separate sites in the Naval Base of Cartagena and the Sewer Air
This new CAI, the cost of operation and maintenance is funded 33 percent by the Ministry, is located within the grounds of the General Air Academy and has 41 places for children aged 4 to 36 months, divided into three units, one of eight seats for children 4 to 12 months, another 13 for those 12 to 14 and one third of 20 seats for children 24 to 36 months.
For the other two centers of Defense, the Cartagena operating since October 2006 and Sewer since October 2008, both with the same places that opened today, ie 41.
2010, is expected to sign three specific agreements with regional government subsidies to cover part of the cost of maintenance.
On the other hand, note that the investment made by the Ministry to build, remodel, maintain and implement CAIs for children birth to three years, amounts to 41,962,281 euros, including this year.
All this has resulted in 110 centers and Points of Care for Children (CAIs and PAIs) subsidized with 8,218 seats, of which 4,139 are in service.
