The Department of Equality of the City of San Javier invite young people to reflect on gender-based violence through theater, storytelling, debates and workshops that lead to schools in the municipality within the program of activities organized to celebrate, November 25, International Day Against Violence Against Women.
The Department of Equality has had to do with the collective Autopia, and the Men's Association to the meeting, which will help meet municipal order "to sensitize the younger generation on gender violence, and the need to work for a company in equal for women and men, "said Councilwoman Equality, María Angeles Chum.
It also offered talks on prevention of domestic violence in older women in the Senior centers in the municipality.
The program of activities that began last Monday and runs until next December 2, includes a course on Gender Violence, organized by the Institute for Women in collaboration with the municipality of San Javier, and a group exhibition of four painters and art therapy which opens Thursday in the municipal museum at 19:30 pm
The program's main event will be held on Tuesday 24 at 19:00
in the civic center of San Javier where you read the manifesto against gender violence with a candle lighting for each of the murdered women, to end a concert.
On Saturday November 21 Civic Center hosts the performances of the play "Limited", to be followed by a discussion.
There will be discussion following the presentation of the documentary film "The lonely island," directed by journalist and writer, Gabriel Carrión and performed by amateur actors of El Mirador, on Thursday, November 26 at 18:00 pm in the auditorium Hall.
The activity program includes a special on Radio San Javier, with the participation of four women as police, medical, and social worker judge are in direct contact with domestic violence.
The Department of Equality has enjoyed the cooperation for implementing the program of the Department of Culture, Education, Youth, Social Services, Parks and Gardens and Sports, which has organized a defense course for women in municipal sports center.
