Cooking, sewing, ironing and organizing linen have been some of the things a group of youth in the municipality have learned in the workshop of emancipation that was held in San Javier organized by the Local Youth Council and the Institute of the Region of Murcia.
The local association Housewives collaborated in workshops offered some of its components, which housekeeping experience has provided guidance for the young participants who are newly independent or will do so shortly.
The workshop included a talk on the problems of housing and legal advantages provided for young people to buy or rent, has also addressed other issues such as recycling and the domestic economy through re-use and consumption responsible.
The objective of this initiative promoted by young people themselves through the Local Youth Council is to facilitate and to familiarize young people with basic household tasks with which they are confronted to leave the family home, whether for reasons of studies, or emancipation.
