Gender violence understood as any form of oppression of women is the issue that have worked for four art therapists whose work in painting, sculpture and photography can be seen until 29 November at the Municipal Museum of San Javier.
The mayor of San Javier, Pepa Garcia and Council Member of Equality, María Angeles Chumillas exhibition opened last night is part of the events organized by the Department of Equality to mark the International Day Against Violence Against Women.
The four artists, Eva Maria Santos, Charo Fernandez, Fabiola Andrea, and Eva Cristina tables, worked especially for this exhibition to bringing new work, "under the theme of the isolation of women, and how to build forms for leave survive and be free, "said Eva Cristina tables.
The show hosts a series of photographs of the apple as a symbol of women being attacked in different ways, and other works in which the woman is aware of a situation that decides to change.
In the center of the room, a sculpture material, outlines a vision of the roles women oppressed by taxes than just choking.
Multitude of arms, made of cloth stuffed and sewn, representing the woman "who wants to cover everything, because society demands to be perfect in every way, although he finished choking a bit," says the author, Eva Maria Santos.
Art therapy which employs the four artists exhibiting at the exhibition seeks to open channels of communication and new forms of expression through the creation as a way of helping individuals and as a way to improve their personal development or help to overcome various diseases.
In the papers presented at the exhibition, the authors have explored the non-physical violence but "in another hidden violence which is exercised through the roles that are already imposed and that can be modified," explains one of the authors, giving the A call to reflection through the image on a topic that shares his intimate and public aspects, and that is a personal and social problem.
