The Department of Environment of the municipality of San Javier has started a campaign together with the Ministry of Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs, to encourage the development of home composting in the borough.
Recipients of this initiative, which will allow autofabricación subscription for personal use, are both private citizens and entities that have a garden of at least 150 square meters, as reported by the Councillor for the Environment, José Luis Espinosa.
Stakeholders, who must register in advance at the Department of the Environment, located on the first floor of the City of San Javier, will receive a compost at home to facilitate the ministry of Environment, which also provide the necessary technical assistance for compost quality.
Espinosa has said that "fifty percent of the waste generated at home is organic matter that can be reused as fertilizer" for what he has encouraged the owners of gardens and orchards to start this process "which is an important benefit environmental reduction of almost half the waste going to landfill and reuse as fertilizer in our garden.
