Local Development Councilman Jose Luis Espinosa met this morning with representatives of several local associations which reported on the new craft market which is prepared from the Local Development Agency, to be held the last Sunday of each month in Santiago de la Ribera.
Espinosa explained that this is an initiative which will involve, firstly the business association of Santiago de la Ribera, and artisans who are registered with the Directorate General of Handicraft, and local associations that can offer handmade products with the to contribute to their financing and social advancement, so that it has invited local associations to participate in the market that is scheduled to begin the last Sunday of the month of March.
The meeting was attended by the Housewives' Association, Friends of the Saharawi people, Aideman, and the association of bobbin lace, which have positively received the invitation of the council, as reported to term Councilman José Luis Espinosa who underlined that the objective of this initiative is to "energize a new attraction in the area of Paseo de Santiago de la Ribera, as well as local businesses and offer a new avenue of promotion to the associations related to the craft"
