The Department of Environment of the municipality of San Javier organized yesterday a visit to the treatment plant in San Javier, in collaboration with the Forum on the Participation of Agenda 21, coinciding with World Water Day.
The visit that was attended by a dozen neighbors, was to influence the understanding of some issues related to urban environment, such as the purification of wastewater in the municipality.
During the visit, the Chief of Station plant, Carlos Valero, was responsible for show attendees with a tour of the facility explaining the different stages of water purification.
The Municipal Technical Environment, Marcela Valente explained that this visit is also intended to "show how costly it is the purification of water, the importance of avoiding contamination, and to make responsible and conscious use because it is a good scarce. "
