The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Constantine Sotoca, today laid the first stone of the new center and Primary # 4 in San Javier, which will increase to 450 the supply of school places in the municipality.
With this act they start work on the flag of Early Childhood Education, which involves an investment of 900,000 euros and will be completed for next school year, 2010-2011.
Sotoca said that "the works of this new center will respond to the regional government's commitment to strengthen and modernize the network of public schools in the region as essential and indispensable step to improve the quality of education, even in times of economic difficulty as we live in today. "
This new center will involve implementation of six new classrooms Children, that enroll 150 students and 12 primary school classrooms, which will increase the supply of school places to 450, with an investment that will reach three million euros.
The Education Minister appreciated the cooperation of the City, as well as teachers and parents for their work for the implementation and development of new educational project "to encourage more stimulating learning environments and improve day by day, the education of our students ".
Sotoca reiterated the "effort" made by the regional government to improve educational infrastructure network in San Javier, and that "in the last two years, has resulted in an investment of over a million and a half euros."
This referred to the remodeling of the Secondary School 'Ruiz de Alda', an extension of the CEIP 'El Mirador' to become a center of two lines, and the works carried out to provide the center of dining and other services.
The municipality of San Javier has currently has 2,666 students and Primary, Middle and High School 2040, and about 237 students of vocational training.
