San Javier count today with two new electric vehicles for beach maintenance in addition to a third party that operates successfully since last year.
The director general of tourism infrastructure, Marina García Vidal, and the president of the Tourist Consortium of the Mar Menor, José María García have given this morning to the mayor of San Javier Pepa García, vehicles that have involved an investment of 18,600 euros financed by a grant from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism through the Tourism Partnership del Mar Menor.
Accompanied by the Councillor for Tourism and Beaches, Jesus Montesinos, the Mayor reported that one of the two new vehicles, which will go to La Manga, has three axes to facilitate movement through the sand.
The other will join the existing in Santiago de la Ribera which works successfully for one year, spent so much on the maintenance of beaches and road services.
Pepa García pointed out that vehicles manufactured by the company Comarth Murcia, "are ideal for the role they are assigned because they are quiet and produce no noise, nor gas."
